Get to Know Us

Throughout the year, we will be partnering with Crisis Text Line to bring different mental health messaging to the forefront of conversations. Be sure to keep checking back in for more on crucial topics, including suicide prevention and mental health awareness!

Crisis Text Line is a free mental health helpline that aims to increase mental healthcare accessibility on a global scale—all through human connection. Their highly trained volunteers provide 24/7 anonymous text-based support and crisis intervention to those in need. Their mission is to create a more empathetic world where everyone has access to the care and resources they need in their most vulnerable moments.

Our partners at Crisis Text Line believe as much as we do in the power of accessibility and visibility in mental health care. In recognizing not everyone has equal access to quality services, Crisis Text Line created a safe space for anyone with access to a phone to seek the help they deserve. With accessibility and inclusivity at the forefront of our mission, we chose July (BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month) to launch this mission of empowerment for all.

Our Why

The significance of visibility and accessibility of health information cannot be overstated, as it plays a crucial role in empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their well-being. When vital health-related data and resources are readily available and easily understandable, people can become proactive advocates for their own health.

Did you know?💡Accessible information allows individuals to stay informed about preventive measures, potential risks, and available treatments, enabling them to take charge of their health journeys.

When health information is transparent and accessible to all, it promotes equity in healthcare, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life!

Why Now?

In honor of National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, we have collaborated with Crisis Text Line once more in hopes of sparking important conversations on breaking the stigmas surrounding mental health, particularly for minority communities.

Did you know that racial and ethnic minorities continually face disparities in accessing daily mental health services? Approximately 25% of African Americans and Hispanic Americans receive mental healthcare compared to 40% of White Americans. Whether through conversation-starter tees or crisis text support, our goal is to connect you with those who care. Why? Because everyone deserves to feel seen and heard. Together, we are lending a helping hand and offering a shoulder to cry on, day or night.

A More Empathetic World

Connection is at the center of the human experience. At our most primitive level, all any of us wants is to feel connected and that we belong. We believe that, with your help, we can create a more empathetic world where connection knows no bounds. This collection hopes to bring that sense of belonging to life. Whether our tees invite conversations with passersby or just help you express who you are, every interaction with our products proposes a message of hope for connection. Knowing that you aren't alone is half the battle, and, together, we want to help you thrive.

Every work of art is a celebration—permission to be yourself unapologetically. Helper Tees has created a space where you can not only celebrate yourself, but feel good about what you’re sharing with the world and the change you’re making possible. What will your tee say about you?

Thank you for supporting us in our efforts to build a more empathetic world. We couldn’t do this without you and the incredible artists who spread empowering messages of happiness in health.

Our initiative focuses on the importance of unity and cooperation to advance global health. Through collaboration, we strive to create a world where everyone's well-being is prioritized and supported, resulting in a healthier and more resilient society. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for all individuals, making health a fundamental right accessible to everyone, not just a privilege.

With collaboration comes connection. Let us be your guide to finding happiness in health.

Meet the Collection

Wear this empowering message to remind yourself that you are how you speak to yourself. You are more than your circumstances. You are enough.

Treat yourself with the same compassion you would offer a friend, recognizing that it's okay to feel vulnerable or uncertain. You are not defined by your circumstances, but rather by your tenacity, determination, and the love you share with the world. So, be gentle with yourself, celebrate your progress, and know that you have the power to rise above any adversity.

Sometimes the only thing we need is for someone to listen. There's nothing more validating than that. Wear this cozy sweater to remind others that you're there for them.

Every step you take, we are here to offer a helping hand and a listening ear. You are cherished, valued, appreciated and, most importantly, you are not alone.

When you feel you've lost hope, hold this tee close. Complete with crisis numbers and fluffy reminders of love, we hope this sweater reminds you of your "why."

When you feel you’ve lost hope, what’s your reason for holding on? This tee is a loving reminder that, even in our darkest moments, there’s a reason to stay. When everything feels overwhelming, and there isn’t a light at the end of the tunnel, we hope you consider this: You are enough. You are loved. You are appreciated.

“Don’t Lose Hope” is a first step in a commitment towards self-love. Treat this cozy comfort as a survival guide for your darkest moments. Whether your tee is your hope box, or an instruction manual, you’ll know what comes next.

A hope box is a collection of items made to uplift you during hard times. Many people fill their boxes with letters from loved ones, stuffed animals, photos, and snacks. We advise you to check out all of the invaluable resources that Crisis Text Line has to offer and include those in your hope box as well.

More than your Circumstaces

Our circumstances do not define who we are or what we can achieve. While we may encounter challenges, obstacles, and setbacks along our journey, it is our response to these situations that truly shapes our character and our opportunities. By refusing to let our circumstances define us, we empower ourselves to rise above adversity and discover our true potential. Sometimes it is the very people that no one imagines anything of, that do the unimaginable.

Our Hopes for this Collection

Here at Helper Tees, we strive to encourage positive health experiences through whimsical everyday reminders via our merchandise and blogs. By joining forces with Crisis Text Line, we hope to offer moments of connection and empowerment. Our whimsical reminders and resources create opportunities for our community to ask themselves what health and happiness look like to them. This way, no one is left in the dark when it comes to their health.
